On the 10th of this month an angel was born. Prophesized into existence by yours truly, yesterday we celebrated her arrival.
She’s so special and she doesn’t even know it yet. She will grow into a woman after God’s own heart. In Jesus name. Amen!

I’ve always been in two minds about the effect of secular material in my life. At one point I felt God lead me to give up secular music completely. That season came and it’s gone but I often find myself questioning what is appropriate to watch, and listen to. If I give up secular music, doesn’t that mean I should give up all things secular. Films, books, etc. We are called to be in this world but not of it [Romans 12:2]. But what does that mean. Where do we draw the line as to what is acceptable and what isn’t.
I thank God because his word always remains the same. (Isaiah 40:8). That’s why so many people have a problem with Him. He’s an un-changing God. He doesn’t adapt to seasons or trends. God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. That’s what makes him so awesome. He doesn’t need to adapt to our technological developments or our scientific discoveries. He himself is the author of science and no matter how many cameras Canon/Nikon make, the optics in the eye still remain far better than any of them can replicate, [Sorry, I get a bit excited about cameras so yea…]
Anyways, what does this have to do with whether it’s appropriate to listen to Beyonce’s flaws and all almost twenty times in a row [Yep, I did it…last Saturday]. The truth of the matter is anything that doesn’t glorify God is glorifying the devil. (Luke 11:23). There are so many times that I listen to a song or watch a film that altogether isn’t “bad”, but within it there are things that are clearly against the will of God. The more we feed on these things, the more seeds are sown and watered in our minds, and eventually these seeds will grow and produce fruit. What is this fruit? Our actions!
Dwelling on secular material may not seem like a big deal but as it’s not glorifying God it’s slowly wearing down our spiritual immunity. Today I was watching New Girl. I really like that show but there are parts of it that are very clearly against the will of God. I was in a position where I was very tired and susceptible to sin. All I needed was one image that wasn’t of God and that was it!
Now I’m not saying we should lock ourselves up in a room with our bibles and never come out! No way! However we do need to be aware of the effect of secular material on our minds.

I’m back! And what better way to celebrate my return to tumblr than Barry M crackled nails! Random, but the fact that my nails are done means I have my life back. The last month has been crazy busy from start to finish. God has done so much and been so good to me! I’ll post a video with my testimony soon. As for now, don’t forget God is love! He loves me. He loves you. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Much!

I think I’ve become a woman!
Weddings used to mean dressing up, looking cute, and loads of FOOD! Now weddings still mean dressing up, looking cute, loads of food, but HUSBAND SEARCHING seems to be on the menu as well. I never used to want to battle all the single ladies for the bouquet of flowers…but today marks a change.
I can’t lie. Mr. and Mrs. Dayo Bello’s wedding got me overly gassed and excited for mine. Everything was perfect, especially their duet. SO CUTE. I wish you both the best in the future. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. I love you so much .
